The Quran Translated

Description

The Quran Translated – Message for Humanity is a revision of M. Marmaduke Pickthall’s translation of the Quran. The revision has been accomplished by International Committee for the Support of the Final Prophet (ICSFP). The task of revising Pickthall’s work was undertaken to produce a book, in current English, that is closest to the meaning of the Scripture revealed by God to Prophet Muhammad, word for word, in the Arabic language.
ICSFP replaced words like thou, thy, thine, and hast, with their equivalent in use today. Some amendments were also made where considered necessary to reproduce the nearest possible meanings of the Arabic verses. Moreover, the translated verses were grouped together, based on subject matter, to promote understanding of the message.
